This course offers a training course on common faults of electric motors and their causes, focusing on reducing operational problems and difficulties while considering potential maintenance types. An electric motor, as is well known, is a machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy to perform a specific task. It operates on the principle of an electric current passing through a wire that intersects with a magnetic field, causing it to rotate around an axis. Electric motors rely on electromagnetic forces to generate the power needed to drive machines or mechanical equipment. However, motors can experience various faults, such as an inability to move, overheating, slow rotation during operation, or severe mechanical vibrations, particularly in synchronous AC motors, among other issues. In this course, we will learn how to detect and repair motor faults, as well as explore different types of motors.
